Massage is an Art and every BODY is a masterpiece - Carol
I graduated from the University of Akron in 1993 with a Bachelors of Arts. I'm rather proud of that!
I have reviews on Google My Business, Trip Advisor, Facebook, SquareUp and Yelp (Yelp does take reviews down from people who don't use the app much). I'm not a fan of social media, it all scares me. I'm just a person, not a store or company.
I had a 90 minute massage with Carol and it was awesome!

Covid Update: April 2021. I'm so happy to hear so many of you are vaccinated or getting vaccinated! I will be by the end of April! We we will have to continue with all precautions until everyone has a chance to get theirs. I have been following Ohio Medical Board Guidelines for Massage Therapists (I'm licensed there also and needed help!). The precautions, like wearing masks for both of us has worked! I wear 2 for you! There's hand sanitizer outside along with masks if you need a clean one. The laundry and disinfecting has been a chore and I had to make some changes to my business this past year. Unfortunately, I can no longer sell gift certificates or be a gift or surprise for anyone. Massage is too personal and we should decide on the right therapist for ourselves. I am sensitive and I may not be what they want. I'm just a person who loves helping people. We therapists are different, massage is an art and science. I understand if you're on vacation and just looking for something to do as I've worked in big and small spas and people are looking for different things in massage. Chain store massage and spas have created an image of anonymous service providers - like a manicure but it's much more personal. Most of you need it though and don't have time when at home - I understand so that's why I do what I do. Those who find me are usually looking for a different experience and did I mention I love my work? So, I don't do chain store massage - it's my life's work (I have a sense of humor so I'm making you read all this to get to my price!) I love text because it's easier between clients. I do return calls at the end of the day at the latest!
Hi, my name is Carol Koon, LMT, BA.: I have over 23 years experience in Massage and Medical Massage. My goal is to provide the best massage I can in the Outer Banks for a reasonable price. I have been a Licensed Massage Therapist since 1997 as a limited Branch of Medicine in Ohio (#33.007529). The Ohio State Medical Board requirements (Anatomy and Physiology) were rigorous and prepared me to work with clients disorders such as: Fibromyalgia, Arthritis, Rheumatism, STRESS, anxiety, MS, Cerebral Palsy, Lupus, Parkinson's, ALS and most Soft Tissue Pain. I have done massage in University Hospital of Cleveland on the Oncology Floors and Antepartem Floor. Massage does NOT take the place of Medical Treatment and is not intended to. However; massage can help with circulation, chronic pain disorders, everyday aches and pains that come with aging and/or pregnancy, lower blood pressure, boost the immune system and help with healing(Cleveland Clinic, 1990). I have been serving the Outer Banks since 2005.
